Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide

As of November 2015 users wanting to purchase or use aluminum phosphide commercially, will have to hold a Level 2 Award in The Safe Use of Aluminum Phosphide for Vertebrate Pest Control. Woking in conjunction with RAMPS the Lantra Safe Use of Aluminium Phosphide course has been developed to ensure all users are adequately trained to use Aluminium Phosphide safely and legally.

Course Content:

• Legislation
• Safety, exposure prevention and first aid
• Environment and wildlife
• Label, product container, storage and transportation
• Application equipment, handling and disposal of excess pesticide and spillages
• Record keeping.

Competence in the activity is assessed through a practical observation and short answer questioning at the end of the day.
